Free Your Inner Runner with Nike Free

So, you are looking for the best running shoes of 2011?

You have certainly heard of the Nike Free barefoot running shoes series before.
Many people prefer these shoes to other barefoot running shoes for multiple reasons: first because wearing Nike “is cool”! It is true that wearing branded shoes are the best way to make heads turn to you, in our society. But this aspect of Nike Free comes later: the very first reason that made me buy Nike’s product is the unique talent of the designers working at Nike. They are producing so beautiful looking shoes!

“But they are not really barefoot running shoes”, you may tell yourself. You are not totally wrong as the sole of Nike Free is not as thin as other barefoot running shoes. But once you will try your own pair of Nike Free running shoes, you will quickly notice that these barefoot running shoes totally simulate barefoot conditions.Running with them also ensures you a total stability. We can see the Nike Free shoes as stability running shoes for sure.

There is an even better thing about this model: if you are a “veteran” barefoot runner, you may have already experienced hurting your foot with cut glass or anything else like that.
You are safe from that with the Nike Free!

Since the arrival of this serie in 2005, Nike has constantly refined its designs to reach a great effect and comfort. For example, these stability running shoes don’t restrict your feet too much, as the laces are set asymmetrically which avoid you to feel pressure on the top of your foot. And that is only one advantage of the Nike Free models.Another thing that I am sure you will love is that these shoes are really bag-friendly. I mean, they are pure lightweight running! Not only that, but they also pack small.

Are you using your iPod to track your performance, how much calories you have lost, etc? If yes, then you will pleased to hear that Nike has included the Nike+ technology, which allows you to insert Nike’s iPod-compatible sensor into the sole of your Nike Free’s!Now, as you certainly know, there is a certain amount of time that needs to pass before you are 100% comfortable in your new shoes. It takes sometimes even more times for some shoes to adapt to your feet.

Your will certainly live a different experience, but my feet adapted to these shoes in a few days! This fast adaptation is probably due to the highly flexible and lightweight material used to produce Nike Free.

For those who still wonder which ones are the best running shoes of 2011: I highly recommend you to try the Nike Free running shoes series.
You will not be disappointed, maybe except a few things: firstly, Nike is an expensive brand. But quality makes definitely the price here. You will have to purchase Nike+ separately, which will cost you roughly 60 dollars.Secondly, white soles get dirty very easily, and you will have to clean your shoes often if you want to have neat shoes anytime.

Overall, the Nike Free are definitely a good investment for everyone who is looking for a solid and sexy pair of barefoot running shoes.

Minimalist Running Shoes Equal More with Merrell

by admin on September 21, 2011

Merrell has released new minimalist running shoes alternatives to the market in the beginning of 2011.

Me, as a barefeet running fanatic, I immediately bought myself a pair of these shoes to try them out. I am happy to say that Merrell doesn’t disappoint its customers in barefeet running shoes.
In this article, I will talk about a specific Merrell model, which I found is the best minimalist running shoes after my researches on the Web: Merrell Trail Glove.

The Merrell Trail Glove is a really neat shoe, and gives you a great alternative to other expensive brands, since you can see Merrell’s product as discount running shoes.

Anyway, here are my thoughts about the Trail Glove.Firstly, if I have to talk briefly about its appearance, the Merrell TG has fairly conservative lines and colours. It doesn’t mean I don’t like them though. On the contrary, Merrell knows well how to produce nice alternative designs within the same theme used by every brand.

I do like these barefeet running shoes quite a bit from an appearance standpoint.
But let’s move on to the most important element of good minimalist running shoes: the fit and construction of the Trail Glove.

I must admit this is my first experience with barefeet running shoes produced by Merrell. Nevertheless, my social circle (I’m constantly surrounded by runners!) told me several times that they make really high quality discount running shoes!Judging from a quality/ price ratio, Merrell is pretty generous. The shoe is very well thought, and has a strong look. I mean, they seem to be pretty solid thus durable shoes!

The pair of TG I have here is free of manufacture defects. I have also felt that the fit of these Merrell shoes is less restrictive on my feet.

If you check out the toe box of the Trail Glove, you can see that it is pretty wide. My toes have enough space to spread when I run, and that makes them pretty comfortable.I guess it will vary upon the curve of your feet: my feet are long and lean. I’m pretty skinny actually…One odd thing that I would like to draw your attention to is the contour of the sole: the U-shaped profile of the Trail Glove makes it a little unstable because the heel and forefoot are a little rounded from the inner to outer margin.

Finally, I can certify that these are true barefeet running shoes! At 12 mm heel and 12 mm forefoot, the Trail Glove can be your ideal minimalist running shoes.I will test them until their last limit. I guess it will take a pretty long time before they start to be worn out!Another thing that I have not mentioned before is their weight: the Trail Glove is so light! They can easily fit in the “lightweight running shoes” category.

The Merrell Trail Glove is without a doubt the best discount running shoes you can find on the market now, and I would definitely recommend it to every barefoot running fan!
